The Cretan Bull is a Greek creature.

The Cretan Bull was sent by Poseidon from the sea to Crete. The Cretean queen, Pasiphae, hid in a cow statue made by Daedalus and was impregnated by the bull.

Heracles had to then capture the bull as one of his labors. He did so and then released the bull and it eventually came to Marathon where it ravaged the countryside. It was killed by Theseus.
